Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev Walk Red Carpet Separately at CW Upfront

According to eyewitnesses at the event, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder walked the red carpet separately. Nina stunned in a blue mini dress by Versace that bared a hint of midriff, while Ian looked sharp in a charcoal suit with subtle plaid details.

Nina and Ian later had to take the stage together at the New York City Center to talk about The Vampire Diaries, but CW Television Network President Mark Pedowitz served as a buffer by standing between the two stars.

Backstage, more photos seem to show Ian and Nina keeping their distance from one another. Ian was snapped in deep conversation with TVD co-star Joseph Morgan, while Nina cozied up to fellow brunette beauty Phoebe Tonkin.

“They’re still friends,” a source tells me.

As you may have heard, the Vampire Diaries stars broke up last week after more than three years of dating.

“There’s no bad blood between them,” the source said. “There was no other person involved or any big fight.”

The source said the two decided to call it quits after realizing that Dobrev wasn’t ready to settle down as much as Somerhalder has wanted.

“They still talk daily,” the source said. “This wasn’t something out of the blue.”
